International students seeking admission will be required to have their transcripts evaluated by a Credential Evaluation Service.
Foreign students are urged to consider their own competencies in the English language prior to enrollment. The University does not provide English as a Second Language (ESL) instruction.
TEACHING OF ENGLISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE (TOEFL). Newport University programs are to be taught and completed in English. For student whose primary written and spoken language is not English, for undergraduate, a minimum score of five hundred (500) paper based or 61 IBT computer based, or its equivalent on the test of English as a Foreign Language (TOFEL) is required, administered within 2 years of admissions or prior receipt of a degree or certificate from the institution, whichever first occurs. Masters applicants require a score of 530 or 71 on IBT, Doctoral applicants require a score of 550 or 80 on iBT.
Newport University does not participate in any student visa/I-20 programs.
The University will cover the cost of mailing materials normally provided to Newport University students. These materials are always shipped via the fastest mail. The student will be charged for mailing of other items not normally supplied to all students. Due to the length of time involved in shipping overseas, these shipments will always be by air.
NOTE: International students (including those from Mexico and Canada) must be sure that all payments made to the University are negotiable in United States Dollars.
